Q1: A strong start to 2024 for the Ataccama team with 27% growth in ending ARR for 2023 (vs. 2022)

Q1: A strong start for the Ataccama team

Ataccama is committed to continuous investment in AI-powered data management and delivering best-in-class data quality solutions that address customers’ data pain points in support of business outcomes. In February this year, we released version 15 of our Ataccama ONE platform which is another leap forward in providing high performance data quality to organizations.

This release came just two months after launching our generative AI features, which enable enterprises to establish high-quality data environments while reducing the cost of running a data management program. By automating routine, manual work, data teams can invest their time into higher value tasks and provide both business and technical users with access to trusted data.

Analyst recognition

In March, we were honored to be named a Leader in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Augmented Data Quality Solutions. This year, Gartner renamed the Magic Quadrant to emphasize the growing importance of AI-based automation and augmentation capabilities in addressing emerging data quality issues. This is the 11th time Ataccama has been included in the Magic Quadrant, which we believe is a result of our continual focus on innovation.

Our team was excited to showcase our solution at the Gartner Data and Analytics Summits in Orlando and London. Themes of the events included the need for a cultural shift within organizations to modernize data practices (a change in mindset and technology), data quality as the required foundation for AI, and the need to connect data initiatives to business initiatives.

At the Orlando event, Ataccama customer Chantale Boulanger, Director of Performance and Shared Client Data at iA Financial Group, had the opportunity to share the learnings from her organization’s data journey. She shared the challenges they faced after making acquisitions and how Ataccama enabled iA to move from a siloed approach to a single source of truth for customer records.

Customer and partner insight

Common data pains we hear from our customers include a lack of a single source of truth and mistrust in data from business users, putting more pressure and focus on the evolving role of the Chief Data Officer and their teams. Customers including Fifth Third Bank, Autotrader, and Pure Storage recently shared learnings and successes from their data transformation journeys and highlighted the importance of planning for AI adoption.

Our partners play a vital role in our work with customers. We were pleased to join Microsoft for its inaugural Fabric event in March and participate in conversations on how organizations can implement data quality solutions in the Fabric ecosystem. Our VP of Data Quality, Jessica Smith presented on how companies can bring their data into the era of AI, a topic which is front of mind for many business leaders today.

Company momentum

As the quarter drew to a close, our CEO, Mike McKee, celebrated his six-month anniversary as the head of the company. Mike joined in late 2023, bringing over three decades of industry experience to Ataccama’s leadership team to scale our go-to-market strategy following the $150 million investment in June 2022 by Bain Capital Tech Opportunities. Other recent joiners include Chief Commercial Officer Marta DeBellis, who was previously at Adobe and Instructure, and Matt Lane, Senior Vice President of Sales, who joined from AI company, Peak.

We are also honored to welcome Krishna Cheriath, Chief Data & Analytics Officer and Head of AI at Zoetis, as an expert advisor to the Ataccama Board. Krishna's extensive experience in the pharmaceutical, life science, and manufacturing sectors will provide us with valuable insights and guidance.
