Do You Need a Golden Record Before You Modernize?
The next session in Ataccama’s Data Think Tank series takes on a question that stalls a lot of data modernization plans: do you need a golden record first?
When the same customer lives in three systems with three different addresses, do you sort that out before you migrate, or after? And is master data management essential for the cloud and AI, or a multi-year project nobody ever finishes?
There’s no single right answer, which is exactly why it’s worth talking through with peers who are in the middle of it.
Your hosts for this session are Mary Lynn Early, Managing Consultant, Insights & Data, Ira Lieman, Managing Delivery Architect and Engagement Manager, and Rob Engelhardt, Data Trust Principal, all from the Data Trust practice within Capgemini’s North America Insights & Data organization.
Their team helps organizations get their data to a place they can actually rely on, so they’ve seen just about every version of this problem: duplicate customers, records that don’t agree, and migrations that brought the mess along for the ride. They work through these challenges with clients every day, and they’ll bring that experience to the room.
Join Ataccama & Capgemini to:
- Hear how other data teams decided what to clean up before a migration and what to fix along the way.
- Compare notes on where master data has actually helped cloud and AI projects, and where it’s stalled them.
- Walk away with practical ideas for getting to trusted customer data without starting a project that never ends.
How it works
- Request your invitation. We review every request to keep the room small and senior.
