Stamford, CT, December 13, 2010 — Ataccama Corporation announced today that is has made generally available (GA) and is shipping version 7.0 of its integrated platform of Data Quality and Master Data Management software with a new Data Governance component Data Quality Issue Tracker (DQIT). DQIT allows large organizations with vast amounts of information the ability to monitor an easy-to-follow data workflow, establish procedures and efficiently handle data issues by passing exceptions to expert Data Stewards for resolution according to rules established by business users.
"We're very excited about version 7.0 platform release because it addresses key needs in the data management market segment," said Michal Klaus, Chief Executive Officer, Ataccama, "Our portfolio of offerings now completely maps to all the major steps an enterprise needs to take in order to have trustable, accurate data and make informed decisions."
The new DQIT helps address the Data Governance requirements of an organization to keep its information accurate, current and complete. Using a simple to deploy web-based interface, DQIT leverages existing IT infrastructure technologies such as LDAP, Active Directory and SOA to provide secure integration with databases and applications throughout the enterprise. DQIT is designed to provide both batch and real-time issue resolution to reduce the impact of quality issues as new data enters the information stream.
"DQIT is the unifying Data Governance capability that customers have been asking for and now it's part of Ataccama's integrated platform of leading data management software solutions which include Data Quality Analyzer (DQA), Data Quality Center (DQC) and Master Data Center (MDC)," added Klaus.
Key version 7.0 platform updates include:
User Interface. Improved end-user experience with new 'drag and drop' power features for editing plans inside of DQC. Enhanced visualization implemented for when plans contain multiple endpoints and conditional processing routines. GUI can now be entirely customized for international language localization.
Meta Data. Improved and automatic handling of MS Excel files when creating DQC profiles. XLS and XLSX files now supported for drag and drop placement into plans.
Performance. Introduced clustering support for row level operations such as standardization, cleansing and scoring. The clustering engine supports load balancing by sending data dynamically based upon node execution performance increasing failover capabilities. Single node parallel processing provides scalability for those steps that cannot be clustered.
