Data Quality and Master Data Management Software Developer Targets German Market

MUNICH, GERMANY--(Marketwire - September 16, 2010) - Ataccama Corporation, a leading provider of Data Quality and Master Data Management software, announced today that it is opening a new office in Munich, Germany -- the first part of a multi-phase plan to expand globally.

According to the MDM Institute, by 2012 more than 80% of the Global 5000 enterprises will have committed to Master Data Management as a core business strategy. Germany is the logical first step in this global expansion as demand for these solutions is increasing, say Ataccama officials. The office will service existing customers and extend Ataccama's marketing and sales presence to the broader DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).

"We can see that leading commercial and government organizations in the region are looking for ways to improve and manage their data assets, therefore we are now in proximity to provide localized consultancy and technology," said Michal Klaus, Chief Executive Officer, Ataccama.

The Munich office will be headed by Martin Frey, Vice President of Business Development. Martin brings over 20 years of relevant experience to the new appointment. Prior to Ataccama, Martin held top executive positions within the information technology and telecommunications industry including Tellabs and United-Telekom.

"Martin's extensive industry experience, coupled with his proven ability to define and successfully grow new markets makes him the perfect executive to oversee our German operations," said Michal Klaus, "We are delighted to welcome Martin to our management team."

Martin's responsibilities include overseeing strategic customer relations, sales, marketing and channel development for the company's acclaimed data management software. "As one of the rising technology innovators of Data Quality and Master Data Management solutions, Ataccama is well positioned to capture revenue opportunities in this geography, " Frey said. "I'm looking forward to utilizing my experience and expertise to help develop and drive the market segment."

Additionally, in support of its increased commitment to the German market, the company has launched a new German language website www.ataccama.de. Access to a dynamic, localized website created specifically for current customers, as well as prospective customers in Germany, will enable updated technology and product information available when the customer needs it most. Frey adds, "We believe customers seeking to learn more about our innovative solutions will find great value as we roll-out timely and interesting content including the latest news, events and implementation case studies."
